Announcement – Appointment of Managing Director

The Board of Directors wishes to inform the shareholders of Mauritius Oil Refineries Limited (“the Company” or “Moroil”), the investors and the public that Mr. Jérôme P. E. Clarenc will be Managing Director of the Company effective 1st January 2023.

Jérôme Clarenc, aged 45, joined the Company in September 2005 in the Marketing Department and was subsequently appointed Marketing Manager in 2008. In 2018, he was promoted Commercial Director with the overall responsibility of the Marketing and Sales as well as the Logistics and Warehousing administration. He has been instrumental in the successful diversification of the company’s activities and the creation of imported food operations. He presently acts as interim Managing Director since January 1,2022. Jérôme holds a Diploma in Marketing and Management. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Company since 29th September 2014. He currently serves as member of the Council of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
