Accountant

The accountant will be responsible to prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts and assist the Finance Manager in financial analysis, cost control, budgets. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities -

 

1. Management & Statutory Accounts
•    Preparation of monthly management accounts (balance sheet, P&L and other reports).
•    Preparation of quarterly Group accounts for publication.
•    Preparation of yearly statutory Group accounts.
•    Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
•    Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
•    Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and financial regulations.
•    Attend to the internal and external auditor queries and follows up with Heads of Department and management on implementation of agreed auditor’s recommendations.
•    Ensure that all accounting controls and standards, internal policies and procedures are maintained and improve financial controls and procedures.
•    Ensure all regulatory measures are always respected.

2. Other Tasks
•    Attend to any other special tasks, projects assigned by the Managing Director and Group Finance Manager with respect to financials, cost control, pricing and yield in the organisation.
•    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and promote company’s growth.
•    Perform any other cognate duties related to the post and department.

 

Qualifications & Experience -


•    At least ACCA level 2 or equivalent.
•    At least 3 years proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
•    Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
•    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP).

•    Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
•    Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•    Good communication and teamwork abilities.
•    Sound understanding of accounting and purchasing principles.
•    Proven knowledge of budgeting, costing, forecasting techniques and budgetary controls.
•    Proficient with Microsoft tools (excel, pivot table etc).
•    Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
